Weeknote #51 (20250907-20250913)

Kind of a quiet week, overall? I was in Seattle for a big chunk of it, for work, so it was mostly attending meetings and leading meetings and catching up with folks. I capped it off with a nice ~12 hour drive home Friday, coming all the way down from the Olympic peninsula to Astoria on US 101.

This was a sign about midway across University Bridge, at the north end of Lake Union — I was struck by the capital-C “Consequences”
I see fun stuff on my walks around Seattle.
All sorts of fun stuff, if you keep your eyes open.
My Thursday night dinner view, looking out at Lake Union.
One of my strongly held beliefs is that behind every sign with a rule on it, there’s some sort of story. This was on the door leading from the vehicle deck up to the passenger deck on the Washington State ferry I took from Edmonds over to Kingston. I am intensely curious about what lead to the cleats rule.
The drive back home on Friday featured the highest price for a gallon of gas that I’ve ever paid.
